Do I have to be fully plant-based to come to this festival?

No way! While the event is fully plant-based, there will be a variety of attendees, including omnivores, the veg-curious, vegetarians, and vegans. Our speakers, vendors, and information booths will offer information on the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle, as well as tips on how to transition to one. You’ll find foods and cooking demos to satisfy every palate.

How do I get to the festival?

Our venue, called Five-Two-A, is indoors at 33 35^th Street, Brooklyn, in the vibrant Industry City neighborhood.

The area sports ample street parking along 3rd avenue as well as a parking lot at 533 2nd Avenue.

Less than 2 blocks away is the D-N-R express subway stop, 36th Street.

What ages will this event appeal to?

There are no age limits! We welcome everyone from age 0 on up, with particular attention paid to young families. Babies will enjoy the music, the yummy new foods, and the colorful sights. Toddlers can roam around the book nook, read, and experience a cooking class. Kids can participate in easy yoga classes, cooking classes, multi-age mixers, and then dance to the tunes of Jumpin’ Jamie. Parents will discover amazing plant-based vendors and non-profits, and will listen in on educational workshops. Everyone can revel in the energy that comes from people on a mission to make the world a more compassionate (and delicious) place!

Should we arrive hungry?

Do! With food vendors like Secret Vegan Kitchen and Healthy as a Motha serving up meals, and plant based cheese vendors like RIND, there will be many tastes to load up on.

What if my kids get hungry or tired halfway through the day?

We’ll have goodies and treats for the pickiest eaters, as well as more substantial plant-based meals from the region’s most innovative chefs. Need a break from the excitement? Your admission allows you to pop in and out of the venue throughout the day.

Is there a way to avoid crowds at the festival?

If you'd like a quieter experience, pick up a Golden Ticket. This allows you entry at 9am, one hour before the main festival hours. As a Golden Ticket holder, you’ll also be entitled to a jam-packed goodie bag and priority access to all panels and classes.

Are children admitted free?

Yes, children 18 years and under accompanied by an adult are free!

Development of the first local peace committee comprised of Union members.
